Goat Farming training by Gopghat

Chhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. The three-day basic goat farming training organized by District Doti Branch Office, Gopaghat under South West region was completed from 21st to 23rd of Jestha 2080 with the active participation of 33 members in the ward building of Lamikhal Tole located in Ward No. 5 of District Doti Adarsh Rural Municipality. It has been concluded with the main objective of becoming self-sufficient by doing goat rearing business in a modern way.

Maya Kumari Ojha as program coordinator and branch manager, Chet Raj Bohra as training instructor and Chandra Prakash Mal, branch employee participated in the training. All the participating members have responded that the need for training has been fulfilled by neighborhood microfinance and that the training has been very beneficial and has solved most of the farmers' problems. In addition, the participating members responded that "We are not learning to eat fish, but to learn to fish". They have also committed to raise goats commercially only with certain objectives in the future.
